The MakerHood are a part of of Manukau’s Manutahi, a collectve of organisations brought together by The Southern Initiative and Panuku to revitalize the Manukau Civic Plaza, Manukau.

Manukau Maker’s Day was a collaboration between Manukau Library and MakerHood to activate the plaza throughout the weekend. The activation drew a number of people to the space by providing various activities for the wider community to make the Manukau Civic Plaza a place that celebrates our youthful and local talents.

MakerHood aimed to create a sense of ownership and identity to the space through these activities, a very, very secial moment for us all. People made triangular seats out of pallets, sails for the tripods, and virtual reality games and 3D-printed parts.
